Bedroom Blinds

For many of us the bedroom should be a place of retreat and sanctuary. There are many factors that need to be considered when putting a bedroom together. Of course the colour scheme and your personal taste all play a part. The need for privacy should also be looked at.

The window treatment is a very important. Roman Blinds are often used as a master bedroom window covering. If these blinds are selected, it is worthwhile having them lined as well as interlined to improve the hang and life of the blind. The only disadvantage with these blinds is that they are difficult to clean and may require specialist cleaning form a dry cleaners. If this is the case then if they have been lined or interlined, professional ones are hand finished and will mean that the rods, lining, cords, interlining will need to be removed before cleaning as generally the shrinkage rate of the various components are different. The blinds will be reassembled once cleaned.

If a patterned roman blinds is chosen, then it may be possible to pick out a colour from the pattern and team up with plain curtain if money is no object.

There are other types of blinds which could be used in a bedroom such as a blackout roller blind prove useful especially during the summer months. If your bedroom is decorated with bold wallpaper or there is a lot within the room, then balanced can be restored with selecting a plain blind. Pleated or Venetian Blinds have been used as a solution for bedrooms.

If the bedroom is situated in a loft, it is important to choose blinds that can keep the bedroom cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Thermo stop blinds can bring some relief. Skylight Blackout blinds are useful in these circumstances.
